Tarmacadam Kildare

Tarmac is used in everyday life to cover areas where there is heavy footfall and traffic. No one wants to drive on a road or walk on a footpath that's full of stone and gravel.

Here at E Thomas Developments, we use tar and asphalt to cover anything from roads to playgrounds. We mostly work for local authorities and Government bodies. Some of our common jobs around Kildare include:

  • Footpaths
  • Yards
  • Roads
  • Car parks
  • School playgrounds
  • Retail outlets

We have recently worked with Kildare County Council to tar, as well as slipform kerb, some new footpaths. The tar used was bitumen and all associated traffic management was carried out by E Thomas Developments. Traffic management is a very important part of our business as it ensures the safety of vehicles and pedestrians.

More of our works include the reconstruction of a fire station yard in Kildare and car parks in Newbridge & Kilberry. 2,200m2of stone mastic asphalt, as well as 400m2of concrete, was used to tar the fire station yard. Stone mastic asphalt was also used to tar the car parks after we carried out road sweeping.
